    Sent photos of the damages right away to the Brick and were told that the manager inspected the floor model of the dresser and it was flawless. We were told that we could have that one instead of waiting for a new one. Said I would receive a call back about the headboard. Didn't. Called back next day, was told I would get a call back, Didn't. Called the 3rd day and was finally told that they were ordering me a new headboard and in an attitude that I should know.

    Now, almost 3 months after our original purchase I had to call the store. Woman that answered the phone said that she was told not to contact me unless it was about delivery which is why I hadn't received any updates. But now I might get an update or delivery next week. They are having problems with my dresser.

    Ordered an upright freezer from The Brick New Glasgow in mid-September. The purchase was charged to my credit card immediately even though delivery would not take place until beginning of November. Excuse given was that the New Glasgow store could not receive the item from Montreal until it was prepaid by the customer. Odd policy, but accepted it. Called November 2 and was then told freezer was on back order and was delayed until mid-November. Called again November 9 and was told first that the freezer could not be delivered to my area and then later that it could be delivered in mid-December. I cancelled the order and asked for my money back. Still waiting to see the cancellation appear on my credit card account. At no point did Brick personnel offer an apology for the delays and run-around nor did they seem at all interested in resolving the problem to my satifsfaction. I guess all the horror stories one hears about The Brick are true. Will never deal with them again.

    'Flawless' floor model arrived for delivery and was not flawless at all. Had to send it back to the store and have a new one ordered. No apology, phone call, nothing. Had to call to store to find out an estimated delivery date for the new dresser. To make things easier, told them the headboard and dresser can be delivered at the same time because I couldn't keep leaving work for deliveries. Opened a complaint with the regional office which was just forwarded to the store. Said they could do nothing about the damaged furniture but wait for a new one and said they agreed they could communicate better.

    Has a good selection of items on site, though if you are looking for something specific then expect to order it in. Prices are up there, but competitive with other furniture stores in the area.

    Will never shop here again, unfortunately. Ordered a bed and dress for our spare bedroom the beginning of September. Waited 3 weeks for delivery only for the dresser to show up extremely damaged and the headboard to be flawed.
